Sociedades Guadalupanas (Guadalupe Societies) are organized by Mexican-American Catholic women to provide leadership in social concerns and perform works of charity. The organization's name derives from Our Lady of Guadalupe , Patroness of the Americas. Guadalupana Societies have helped by fostering female development and leadership in the Catholic Church. The group meets every first Tuesday of the month, from September to June, beginning at 5:30 PM. The group starts by reciting the Holy Rosary and then conducting meeting activities with fostering outreach activities. Meetings usually wrap up at 8 PM. All are welcome to attend and gather more information. The group assists in fund raising activities as well as manages Sunday breakfasts (September to June) on second Sundays of each month (exceptions: major holidays).
